Your role as a Business Partner is to provide access to a Business Coach (it could be you, or someone you hire or contract with) to help the owners of small businesses get from where they are to where they want to be.
You're going to be able to provide them with a corporate-administered program that first and foremost, helps them start to do the things they should be doing, namely income-producing activities.
If you have great sales skills and a passion for small business, you may be well-suited to the OneCoach opportunity. You should have at least five years of sales and marketing experience, and have experience as a manager and/or a small-business owner.

This depends largely on your own personal skills, expenses, needs and goals - and how big or how quickly you'd like your business to grow. However, as a general rule, you should arrange to have access to working capital to fund the initial cash flow requirements of your business, to set up your office and communications requirements, and to fund any travel expenses.

As with all new entrepreneurial ventures, the first 12 months will be the hardest, not because of the amount of work you'll do, but because the work will be different. The learning curve that our franchisees go through is steep - we can guarantee that you'll learn more about small business as a OneCoach Business Partner in the first 12-18 months than you'll learn anywhere else.
As a trainee, you'll become a sponge, soaking up information from every source - be it other business coaches, books, seminars, phone calls or from personal experiences... you'll want to know more about everything - which means you'll be VERY busy.
Being a new business coach means you'll be trying out all our different sales and marketing strategies, and finding the strategies that work best for you.
So even though initially you'll be spending at least 25 hours per week marketing, selling and gaining knowledge, you'll find that as your business grows, you can divide your time more evenly between marketing and delivery. This should see you working between 40 to 60 hours a week in the first year.
We do recommend however, that when you have between 40 to 50 clients, you may elect to hire a personal assistant so you can leverage your time more effectively. At this point you'll start to choose the hours of work that suit you, your clients and your prospects.
As you settle into your new business, you should be working around 30 minutes per month per client with that time spent on client management.
When you start up, we recommend working from your home with a separate space designated for your business. You need to be able to lock yourself away, and then lock up and switch off the light at night. When your business has grown, you may wish to take advantage of an office environment or your own office suite.
A unique aspect of the OneCoach process is that most of your client consultations can be done over the phone. Therefore, you don't have to waste much of your valuable coaching time traveling to and from your clients' place of business. This leaves you more time to work with your clients and to earn more income without taking away your family or leisure time.
You can offer access to the Business Growth Network to business owners located anywhere within your assigned and protected territory. No other coaches are permitted to market or acquire clients in your assigned territory.
The size of the territory generally covers a population of 100,000 up to 1 million. In practice, most of your clients will be within 20 driving minutes of your office and most of your work with clients will be via phone, fax, and e-mail.
